Safety and reporting

Feeling safe is the reason most women choose Sawari. If anything about an instructor, a lesson or a message makes you uncomfortable, we want to hear about it, and it costs you nothing to tell us.

In an emergency

If you are in immediate danger, call 911. Sawari is not an emergency service.

Reporting a concern

Email sawaridriving@gmail.com with "Safety concern" in the subject, or call 416-577-2843. Tell us who was involved, when and where it happened, and what happened. You do not need proof to raise a concern, and you do not need to have finished your lessons.

What we do

• We acknowledge every report within one business day.
• While we look into it, we may hide the instructor's profile and stop sending her new students.
• We may ask both sides for information. We keep what you tell us to the people who need it to respond.
• Outcomes range from no action, to guidance, to removing an instructor from Sawari. Where the law requires it, we cooperate with the police or the Ministry.
• Nobody is penalised for raising a concern in good faith.

For instructors

The same applies to you. If a student or anyone contacting you through Sawari behaves inappropriately, report it the same way. Every enquiry arrives with the student's name and phone number, and marking an enquiry "not a fit" never counts against you.

Feedback that is not a safety concern

A few days after each introduction Sawari asks students whether they connected and, optionally, how it went. That is the place for ordinary feedback about teaching style or punctuality. It stays private and helps us keep the network useful.
